Jan 27 – Nepal’s poor batting form continues against Bangladesh U19 team at Sylhet Divisional Ground today and went on to loose the second ODI by 145 runs.
Nepal U19, after winning the toss chose to field on its second practice match. Batting first, Bangladesh scored a good total of 211 with the loss of 9 wickets in its 50 overs quota
Saud Tareq(55) was the highest scorer for the team, while M Hussein scored 47. For Nepal, Avinash Karna took 4/53, Rahul BK & Bhuwan Karki took 2-2 wickets each.
Meanwhile, Nepali team could only manage 66 runs for the loss of all wicket in 28.5 overs. They lost 5 wickets for just 2 runs. The batting failed once again in the practice match series which seems a real worry for the team’s moral.
The team is playing with Bangladesh team as the preparation for the ACC U19 Elite Cup 2011 to be held at Thailand from February 1.
The final match is scheduled to be on 29th January at the same venue.
