Nepal U19 Cricket Team’s opening batter Arjun Kumal has scored a sensational ton against Saudi Arabia U19 in the third match of the ACC U19 Premier Cup.
Arjun’s century helped Nepal post 347 runs on the board in a must-win match. Opening the inning, Arjun batted till the 39th over and ended up scoring 143 runs from 111 balls with 17 fours and two sixes. This is his second ton at U19 level.
Arjun completed a fifty in 56 balls. He then changed the gear and reached to a triple figure in 94 balls, adding another 50 runs in just 38 balls. He then hammered 43 runs from 17 balls.
This is the highest-ever score made by a Nepali batter in international cricket. Previously, the record was in Kushal Malla’s name with 137 runs against Mongolia. At the U19 level, Dev Khanal scored 125 runs in the World Cup Qualifier.
