The third day of Nepal Cricket’s ongoing core camp saw dominant performances from Nepal Red and Nepal Blue as both teams secured convincing victories at the Mulpani Cricket Grounds.

In the Upper Mulpani clash, Sandeep Lamichhane’s Nepal Red continued their fine form, defeating Dipendra Singh Airee’s Nepal Yellow by eight wickets. After opting to bowl first, Red restricted Yellow to 158 all out in 40.1 overs. Despite a resilient unbeaten 90 from captain Airee, the rest of the Yellow batting lineup faltered, collapsing to 55/5 at one stage. Nandan Yadav impressed with three wickets, while Pratish GC chipped in with two.

Chasing a modest target, Nepal Red cruised to victory in just 29.4 overs. Arjun Saud led the charge with an unbeaten 86, earning the Player of the Match award. He was well supported by Shubh Kansakar (30) and Trit Raj Das (29).

Meanwhile, at Lower Mulpani, Rohit Paudel’s Nepal Blue outclassed Aasif Sheikh’s Nepal Green by 64 runs. Batting first in the 45-over contest, Blue posted 222/9. Dev Khanal starred with 77 runs, backed by Gulshan Jha (42) and Anil Sah (31). Sagar Dhakal and Rashid Khan claimed three and two wickets respectively for Green.

In reply, Green were bowled out for 158 in 40.2 overs. Aasif Sheikh top-scored with 56, while Aakash Tripathi (37) and Sompal Kami (24*) provided brief resistance. However, young leg-spinner Yuvraj Khatri stole the spotlight with four crucial wickets, supported by Kushal Malla’s double strike.

The both matches of the second day were abandoned due to rain.
