The nominees for the People’s Choice Award at the NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2080 have been announced. Nepal cricket’s promising young all-rounder, Gulshan Jha, is one of the five nominees.
The Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) announced the nominations during a program on Friday. The nominees for the award include Cricketer Gulshan Jha, Volleyball player Kavita Bhatt, Kabaddi player Manmati Bista, Footballer Preeti Rai, and Rugby player Shriram Shrestha.
Gulshan took more than 20 wickets and scored over 500 runs across various formats, delivering several match-winning performances in the year 2080. He also represented Nepal in the U19 World Cup.
The NSJF Sports Award is regarded as the most prestigious sports award in Nepal. Fans can vote for their favourite athletes through Esewa.
Last year, Dev Khanal was honoured as the Youth Player of the Year in the same award.
