The last group-stage match of the Quadrangular T20I Series between Nepal and Hong Kong ended with no result due to persistent rain at the Mission Road Ground. With this, Nepal advanced to the final as table toppers, while Hong Kong missed out on a spot in the summit clash.
Put in to bat first after losing the toss, Hong Kong were at 68 for 3 in 9 overs when rain interrupted play. Despite hopes of a restart, the weather failed to improve, and the match was eventually called off without a result.
The outcome meant Nepal finished the group stage with 5 points from three matches, courtesy of two wins and one no result. Hong Kong, on the other hand, ended with 3 points from their three games—one win, one loss, and one no result—falling short of a final berth.
Nepal will now face Kuwait in the tournament final on April 13, while Hong Kong will take on Qatar in the third-place playoff.
