The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has declared to grant a reward of NRS 50,00,000 to the Nepalese Cricket Team in recognition of their qualification for the T20 World Cup 2024.
After a decade, Nepal secured a spot in the T20 World Cup by finishing as runners-up in the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, where they lost the final to Oman.
During CAN’s board meeting on November 6, it was determined that the team would be honored with a monetary reward for their accomplishment. Likewise, each player from the Nepal Under-19s team will receive NRS 50,000 for winning the ACC U-19 Premier Cup and qualifying for the upcoming U19 Asia Cup.
The board also made two additional decisions: first, to send the women’s team to participate in the quadrangular series set to take place in Hong Kong, and second, to allocate 50% of the revenue generated from ticket sales of the Nepal-Oman match to aid earthquake victims in western Nepal.
