Nepal’s Men cricket team faced a 39-run defeat against the home team to finish the US tour with one win, and one tie from four matches.
The USA team posted a challenging 246 runs target before Nepal in the last match played at Moosa Cricket Stadium in Houston, Texas. Nepal could muster 206 runs all out in 47.4 overs.
Aarif Sheikh scored the highest 73-ball 63 runs including three fours while Sompal Kami gathered 47 runs, including a four from 72 deliveries.
Sheikh and Kami also recorded a 106-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Opener Kushal Bhurtel made 10, Ashif Sheikh 18, Dev Khanal 34 and Rohit Kumar Poudel 16 runs.
US bowlers Saurav Netravalkar and Ali Khan grabbed three wickets each and Nothus Kaijing and Nisarga Patel one each to steer the USA team to victory.
Earlier, put on bat first after losing the toss, the USA national team had mustered 245-7 in 50 overs.
Nepal’s bowlers Karan KC took three wickets, while Sandeep Lamichhane had two scalps.
Nepali team finished the US tour with a defeat against Oman by 13 runs in the first match. They tied the second match against the home side and won the third match against Oman.
Meanwhile, Nepal has gathered 15 points from 16 matches in ICC World Cup League’s point table. Nepal is in the fifth position in League-2.
