Welcome to the LIVE update of the much anticipated Nepal Premier League (NPL) auction happening at the Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu. Eight teams will sign maximum 10 players from the auction. So, 50% players will go unsold.
Here’s the summary:
87 players appeared before the tea break and 39 players were sold.
Lumbini – 6 players (2 A category)
Biratnagar – 6 players (2 A category)
Janakpur – 5 players (2 A category)
Kathmandu – 5 players (2 A category)
Chitwan – 5 players (1 A category)
Karnali – 3 players (0 A category)
Pokhara – 5 players (2 A category)
Sudurpaschim – 4 players (2 A category)
Karnali will stay out of the second round as they have completed a squad.
7 teams will give a wish list as their need and second round of the auction will begin shortly…
10 players were unsold from category A. None of the player will descend in the category unless all the teams will complete A category quota. 3 players will descend as only 7 are required for the team.
The mandatory team composition for every team is:
A Category – 3 Players
B Category – 4 Players
C Category – 3 Players
