Janakpur Bolts have signed New Zealand’s star cricketer James (Jimmy) Neesham for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024.
Neesham is a versatile all-rounder for New Zealand, batting left-handed and bowling right-handed. He has represented his country in all three formats—12 Test matches, 76 ODIs, and 79 T20Is—and has also played in franchise leagues globally. Over his career, he has scored more than 3,000 runs and taken over 100 wickets across formats. Known for his explosive power-hitting, Neesham adds valuable experience and impact to any team he plays for.
Jankpur has also appointed former Nepal coach – Pubudu Dassanayake as their head coach. They have also roped in Bardan Chalise as a director of cricket.
Aasif Sheikh is a marquee player for the Janakpur Bolts. They signed Anil Sah, Lalit Rajbanshi and Kishore Mahato from the A category in the NPL players auction. Hemant Dhami, Sher Malla, Arniko Yadav, Rupesh Singh are other notable names in the squad.
Nepal Premier League is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 21 (Mangsir 15 to Paush 6) in Kathmandu.
