Pubudu Dassanayake

Janakpur Bolts have appointed Pubudu Dassanayake as their head coach for Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024.

Pubudu is a well-known figure in Nepal Cricket. During his first coaching stint, he guided Nepal to their maiden T20 World Cup in 2014, marking a successful tenure. However, his return as Nepal’s coach in 2021 was less memorable. Pubudu is also familiar with Nepal’s domestic players, having been involved in coaching during previous franchise leagues.

Janakpur have also roped in Bardan Chalise as a director of cricket.

Aasif Sheikh is a marquee player for Janakpur Bolts. They signed Anil Sah, Lalit Rajbanshi and Kishore Mahato from A category in the NPL players auction. Hemant Dhami, Sher Malla, Arniko Yadav, Rupesh Singh are other notable names in the squad.

Nepal Premier League is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 21 (Mangsir 15 to Paush 6) in Kathmandu.
