The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has confirmed the team owners for the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The auction for franchise ownership took place today, determining the owners of all eight teams.
A base price of NRS One Crore was set for each franchise. Among the eight teams, Pokhara attracted the highest bid, reaching a whopping NRS Three Crore and 57 Lakhs. In contrast, the lowest bid was for Karnali, at NRS One Crore and 11 Lakhs.
Here’s the final cost and owners of all eight franchises:
1. Pokhara – Nepal T20 Pvt. Ltd. at 3,57,00,000
2. Kathmandu – Kantipur Publications at 3,33,33,339
3. Janakpur – Dreams Sports at 2,05,00,000
4. Lumbini – Fortuna Health Care at 1,86,00,004
5. Chitwan – Chitwan Medical College at 1,76,01,000
6. Sudurpaschim – Empire Sports at 1,68,88,888
7. Biratnagar – M.A.D Dreams Sports at 1,51,00,000
8. Karnali – Himalayan Builders at 1,11,70,000
The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 21 (Mangsir 15 to Paush 6) in Kathmandu.
