CAN reveals eight marquee players for Nepal Premier League

The marquee players for all eight teams in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) have been confirmed. Eight star players have been announced as marquee players, though the team assignments are yet to be finalized.

Following are the eight marquee players for the upcoming NPL:

1. Rohit Paudel

2. Dipendra Singh Airee

3. Sandeep Lamichhane

4. Sompal Kami

5. Karan KC

6. Aasif Sheikh

7. Kushal Bhurtel

8. Kushal Malla

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) stated that all teams will have the chance to select these marquee players through a lucky draw, following the bidding details outlined in the RFP forms for franchise ownership.

Order of Lucky Draw:

1. Kathmandu

2. Pokhara

3. Chitwan

4. Biratnagar

5. Lumbini

6. Janakpur

7. Karnali

8. Sudurpaschim

The marquee players will be signed with their respective teams for a minimum of three years. At the end of each season, teams will have the option to either retain or release their marquee player, in consultation with CAN.

The lucky draw to select the marquee players will take place tomorrow (September 14) during an event in Kathmandu.
