Kathmandu- R-4 (Bhairahawa) thrashed R-9 (Dhangahdi) by four wickets to record their first win in Group B match in senior national cricket tournament 2015 at Engineering Ground, Pulchowk on Tuesday.
Bhairahawa chased 228 runs in 47.4 overs losing six wickets with fifties from Skipper Antim Thapa and Saurav Khanal. Antim finished the game remaining not out on 68 runs while Saurav scored 53 runs. Saurav was declared player of the match for his all- round performance as he also picked three wickets with the balls for Bhairahawa.
Lalit Singh Bhandari picked three wickets for Dhangahdi. Earlier, six batsman scored between 20 and 30 runs that helped Dhangahdi post 227/9 in allotted overs. Sunil Dhamala 28, Roman Bam 20, Prakash Thapa 27, Bhim Sarki 21, Binod Lama 24*, and lalit Singh Bhandari 24 all got starts but none could compile them to a big score.
