Lumbini Lions have announced the signing of Ben Cutting for the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The Australian all-rounder is the second foreign player signed by Lumbini.
Lumbini announced England’s Tom Moores as their first signing and followed up by adding Ben Cutting to their squad. The 37-year-old all-rounder brings extensive experience from playing in franchise leagues worldwide. Cutting notably starred in the 2016 IPL final, playing a key role in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s title victory.
Cutting represented Australia at the U-19 level before advancing to the senior team, where he played in four ODIs and seven T20Is.
Rohit Paudel is the marquee player of Lumbini Lions. They signed Surya Tamang, Sundeep Jora and Bibek Yadav from A category in the players auction. Lumbini announced Nandan Phadnis as their head coach with Shakti Gauchan as the consultant coach.
Nepal Premier League is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 21 (Mangsir 15 to Paush 6) in Kathmandu.
