Nepal’s second practice match in Sri Lanka is also washed out due to rain. The Nepalese team is currently on a Sri Lanka tour for a three-match One Day series against Sri Lanka Development Squad as a preparatory series for the CWC League 2 series.

The first match on the third of September was also called off due to rain. Unfortunately, the second match was also forced to call off due to unfavourable weather.

After a rest day, the final match will take place on September 6th. Team Nepal will then travel to Canada for the CWC League 2 series.

With a recent limited exposure to the 50-over format, it will be challenging for the team to adapt to this format. Nepal hasn’t played an ODI match in over six months, as they’ve been focused on the T20 format followed by a period of rest. Nepal last played the ODI match in February.

Nepal is scheduled to tour Canada after a week for the second CWC League 2 Tri-series, where they will compete against Oman and Canada. In the opening series held on home ground in February, Nepal faced three defeats and secured only one win against Netherlands and Namibia.
