The Nepalese team claimed an 11-run victory over Australia in their second match of the Hong Kong Super Sixes, securing a spot in the quarterfinals and finishing at the top of Group B.
Nepal outpaced both Australia and England in Group B. In their earlier match, they triumphed over England with a six-wicket victory.
Nepal, invited to bat first, put up a strong total of 111/2 in the allotted six overs. Captain Sundeep Jora shone once again, smashing an unbeaten 51 off 16 balls. Lokesh Bam added a quick 33 off 13 balls, while Bibek Yadav and Rashid Khan each contributed 12 runs.
In response, Nepal held Australia to 100 runs in six overs, securing a narrow victory. Pratish GC delivered another outstanding performance, taking three wickets and earning the Player of the Match title. Lokesh Bam and Bibek Yadav each took one wicket as well.
Jack Wood scored a half-century for Australia, hitting 55 off 16 balls with six massive sixes. However, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to make a significant impact.
Nepal’s quarterfinal match is scheduled for November 2 at 1:35 PM.
