The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has bid farewell to the Nepal National Cricket Team as they depart for the upcoming CWC League 2 Tri-Series. Following their first series in February, Nepal is heading to Canada for their second series in the CWC League 2.
CAN organized an official farewell event in Kathmandu to bid farewell to the team ahead of their series in both Canada and the USA. After completing the CWC series in Canada where Oman is the other opponent, Team Nepal will participate in a T20I tri-series before heading to the USA for another CWC League 2 series.
CAN secretary Paras Khadka also confirmed Nepal will be playing one warm-up match against the strong Canada XI before the main series. Moreover, Jagat Tamata has also been added to the squad as a consultant coach.

Nepal’s first match in the tri-series will be against Canada on September 16. Following a rest day, they will take on Oman on September 18. After a brief gap, Nepal will face Canada again on September 22 and Oman on September 24. All matches will be held in King City, Ontario, with a start time of 7:45 PM NST.
Nepal hasn’t played an ODI match in seven months, as they were focused on the T20 format followed by a period of rest. Nepal last played the ODI match in February. In the opening series held on home ground in February, Nepal faced three defeats and secured only one win against Netherlands and Namibia.
