Dipendra Singh Airee and Rohit Paudel are set to fly to Canada to participate in the Global T20 League Canada 2024. Due to a visa delay, both players are departing late and will miss the first match. However, Sandeep Lamichhane, who already had his visa, is already in Canada and will feature in the opening match.

Dipendra Singh Airee and Rohit Paudel have been in Delhi for the past week for their visa process and will be flying out from there. Dipendra is scheduled to fly tonight (technically July 25), while Rohit will depart tomorrow (technically July 26), as confirmed to cricnepal by their manager, Ravi Timalsina.

Dipendra will arrive just in time, but there’s an extremely high chance he will miss the first match. Rohit, on the other hand, is confirmed to miss the first game. Had they arrived earlier, all three Nepalese players would have been in action, as the Vancouver Knights and Toronto Nationals were playing against each other in the opening match of the tournament. Sandeep and Dipendra are representing Vancouver whilst Rohit is playing for Toronto.

This is Nepal captain Rohit Paudel’s debut overseas franchise league. Meanwhile, Dipendra was the champion of the previous edition with the Montreal Tigers, who defeated Sandeep’s Surrey Jaguars in the final. Sandeep has participated in all three previous editions of the Global T20 League and is also the tournament’s leading wicket-taker.
