Kathmandu – The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has bid farewell to the Nepali cricket team, wishing them success in the ongoing 19th Asian Games competition in China.
In a farewell program held on Sunday, newly elected CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, Secretary Paras Khadka, and other officials of CAN bid farewell to the players, who will be leaving for Hangzhou. Nepal will play its first game against Mongolia on September 27.

Similarly, Nepal will play its second game against Maldives on September 28. Nepal team, led by Rohit Kumar Paudel, includes players Binod Bhandari, Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Sundeep Jora, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Malla, Bibek Yadav, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Gulshan Jha, Pratish GC, Abhinash Bohora, and Sandeep Lamichhane.
Lalit Rajbanshi will not be participating in the competition due to an injury.
“Our team had a good preparation and had set the goal of winning a medal in the competition”, said Skipper Rohit Paudel.
